What to do if you are from category like OBC?
If you belong to any category like OBC/SC/ST and more then you will have to be cautious and read this process. There is no special counselling procedure for reserved seats. You will be participating in the counselling process according to your general rank. When your turn for counselling comes according to the general rank then you will be given the seat in your quota. You can only take one seat either from your reserved quota or general rank.
Suppose for example, You have a general rank of 80,000 and your OBC rank is of 6,000. Then you will be participating in the counselling procedure according to your general rank. That means basically you will be called for counselling only when your turn comes according to the general rank. But you will be given seats according to the reserved seats because you are the 6,000 OBC student within that rank.
